Cheers to the One

Cheers to the One,

He came in flesh alike to man,
but by a manner stranger to woman.
In a little manger asleep He lays,
As shepherds and heaven rejoice in His name.

He walked the earth man stood on,
but walked the waters that man could not.
By His hands the wounded heals,
His words break chains and bondage of yoke.

He lived the life every man knew,
but died for all and was falsely accused.
Yet not a sound, not a sound,
As He paid the price of bread and wine.

He hid in the grave like a man should,
but conquered death because He could.
Till this day, now and forever,
We remember that Jesus defeated the grave.

Cheers to the One.

Wargears

Bow, whistler,
wind-walkers of the hill,
thy kill sound like songs,
thy blow deathly small,
fatal wounds bleed thy foes,
as the dirge of the dead resounds.

Dagger, swindler,
deceptions from the dead,
thy foe tricked of folly,
thy victim lay bloodied,
carvings red and shallow,
flawless like streams on earth.

Spear, seeker,
precised hunter by nature,
thy strike most dextrous,
thy thrusts are fearless,
push forth as the fallen falls,
as the hunters seek the prey.

Hammer, sunderer,
flame and doom incarnated,
thy blows break the weak,
thy swing ushers chaos,
only fools stand against thee,
to face thy might unrivaled.

Sword, leader,
honor and strength displayed,
thy swing speaks commands,
thy kills are kills of kings,
many will fall to thee this day,
and the living will tell thy tales.

Silent Lovers

I'll stand here, you stand there.
Not a word, not a sound.
You will think, and I ponder.
Not a move, not an action.

This is not a test, no, not a rule.
But an understanding that need no clue.

You'll walk away, I'll stay here.
No goodbyes, don't say hi.
I will wait, and you come back.
Just a kiss, just a hug.

Some think us misfit and odds.
But for you and I, it's indescribably right.

Two Broken Souls

Two broken souls,
one is wounded, the other is cold.
Thirsting for a place they call home,
in two worlds that nobody knows.

Walking walking,
live like the dead, live like corpses.
Nowhere to go, o wondering soul,
searching to the edge of unknown.

Two broken souls,
one is wounded, the other is cold.
I pray the day comes like stories told,
that two broken souls make one whole.

Theme: Contrast

Sadness and Happiness

Sadness, a name known in many forms,
In the dark it stalks, in the light it walks.
She is the wealthy lady walking in tears,
He is the man held back by grip of fears.

Happiness, a beauty hidden with mask,
In the dark it sings, in the light it shrinks.
She is the thanksgiving of a poor widow,
He is the friend helping a homeless man.

Sadness, seen at day, preys by night,
Happiness, heard at night. unknown at light,
If the world only knew you both,
Truly, will this world not be a better place?

- GS

Left and Right

Left and right,
you both will never see eye to eye.
Left and right,
you both are a rebel to the other kind.

Left and right,
one holds the scepter, the other the crown.
Left and right,
born by the same blood, but not of creed.

Left and right,
one promises the other's demise.
Left and right,
not one to rest till the other dies.

Left and right,
one holds the lock, the other the key.
Left and right,
without each other, both shall die.

- GS

End of the Darkness

You whisper into the darkness,
light whispered back.
Asking you to hold on,
he tells you not to look back.

You called unto the light,
again into the dark.
It asked you to walk,
he urge you to press on.

You walked into the darkness,
light's whisper dimmed.
This time you called,
but no one responded back.

You start to doubt the light,
as the darkness surround.
When all seems lost,
a magnificent sight abound.

You walked out of darkness,
and see lights around.
That's when you know,
the light that guide you about.

Birthday Wishes

Happy Happy Birthday!
Midnight has finally come.
Happy Happy Birthday!
At last you are twenty-one.

May all your worries leave,
and your sorrow pass away.
I pray you joy and peace,
even from a place faraway.

Happy Happy Birthday!
May all your wishes come true.
Happy Happy Birthday!
And all that is good finds you.

Happy Birthday to Katherine =)

Theme: Death

Birth and burial

Life began from the ground,
the seed of Adam, fruit of Eve.
Planted with water in the garden,
and birth brought fourth sons.

Life begets joy and sorrow,
two sides of a coin, bittersweet.
Both grew in equal measures,
as growth begot growth.

Life believes in the ending,
a burial ground, a final breath.
Some calls it death and decay,
For others, it's life anew.

- GS

Death at the Door

Death knocks at the door of this one,
he recognizes not the time of his leaving,
opened the door out of curiosity,
was snatched away and seen no more.

Death knocks at the door of another,
this time she has expected his coming,
she greeted him like an old friend,
he took her by the hand to a land faraway.

Death knocks at the door once again,
his hand dry and old and pale as snow,
but know that if he greets at the door,
there is no time left to regret anymore.

I Found Success

I found success
he was hiding in a bottle,
waiting to be released.

He was taking a day off
in a beach at Hawaii.
He was running forty-two,
while I slept till two.

He was watching me go by
as I pass him yesterday.
He was never far from me,
I just never found him.

He was in a box of old stuff
that I never bothered.
He was whispering to me,
but I never listened.

He was in my father's words
even as he passed away.
He was lost to me for years,
and I found it within me.

I found success
he has always been there,
waiting for me to find him.

Random Poems

Living Like

Roll roll, like a stone I go
Life like a smooth stone
Roll and roll
Smoothly down the hill I go.

Flow flow, like a river flow
Life like passing wave
Flow and flow
Gush like waters blue I go.

Blow blow, like a wind I go
Life like a breezing cold
Blow and blow
Quick but gently will I go.

Low low, to the ground below
Life like a burying dead
Low and low
And to heaven now will I go.

- GS

She is the One

If he fights for you with his life,
with the life he was given,
given by the divine one,
I assure you, he is the one.

If she kneel down and begs you,
begs you not to leave again,
giving you her every word,
I assure you, she is the one.

If he toils from daybreak to night,
and night alone he returns,
giving every second to you,
I assure you, he is the one.

If she wakes up beside you at day,
at dawn makes your meal,
by night waits for your return,
I assure you, surely, she is the one.

- GS

Death and Decay

Death and decay held your feet,
but you refused, unwilling to go,
unwilling to return the reaper's greet.

You stare into his cold dark eyes,
he is speechless, but not letting go,
not leaving without taking your soul.

And then comes pain and fear,
their words whispers into your ear,
and you know you cannot fight alone.

I only sat and watched right here,
with all my heart I pray you recover,
but the fight is yours not mine to bother.

Without haste your body colds,
you fought well, but you had let go,
I felt it pain me every inch of my soul.

Death and decay took your soul,
but I will remember you for this,
Taken is your soul, but your spirit, no.

Home

Home is where the heart is,
But for him without a heart,
Where does his home lie?
Is he but a shadow forgotten,
When the sun sets by night?
Will he see dawn by day?
Home is where he lays down,
And he finds not such a place.
His heart is nowhere around,
Lost like a drifter wondering.
He walks a lifeless flesh,
Feet dragging the evening dust,
Waiting for night to come again.

Maybe tomorrow, maybe tomorrow.
I may find home in my heart.

Theme: Marriage

First Sight of Marriage

They say love is blind, love is foolish,
Love is a shadow of a truth untold.
They say love is fake, it has no weight,
Like a penny that is to be given away.

I say love is truth, love is wisdom,
Love is the light of truth unfold.
I say love is willing, it goes distance,
And worth more than petty difference.

You may agree with the former,
Or concur with the latter words,
But until you see the real love,
You can be judge of neither.

- GS

Old Song

When I first met you
You sang a song I love,
Then I longed for you
You loved me in return.

When I courted you
We sang a song we love,
I found a tune for you
And you sang in return.

When I wedded you
You are the song I love,
And love I sang to you
You loved me in return.

When I bury you
Still you are my love,
And I will sing for you
Forever till home I return.

- GS

First Love

First love, like the spring you come,
So sweet and soft.
First love, like the summer's sun,
Passion you are.
First love, like the fall you pass,
You left my heart.
First love, like the winter's chill,
Pain you became.

About "Theme: Fear"

Within the Darkness

I wrote this to portray how fear can induce different actions and throws people into confusion and chaos. In the end I wrote that the darkness is lying to us:

"The darkness beckons, it calls to you,
But within the whisper, it is lying to you."

Because fear is, in fact, an illusion of the mind for the worst things that are yet to happen, subjected to endless possibilities, but giving in to it means that one has bought the lie that it will be like so.

Faith and Fear

Since I am a Christian, I figure that I write something about the correlation between faith and fear. This poem is a little idea of how, by having faith, one can overcome fear; and by having fear, faith is destroyed.

I like to portray faith and fear as two sides of a coin - one cannot exist without the other. So by using that analogy, I wrote this.

Well that's all for now, hope you enjoy it. I'll be posting more writings soon and the explanations as well. Time to sleep, maybe?

About "Theme: Writing"

I decided that since I never truly explained the things I wrote, it's best I start writing something to do some real explanation for my poems. (Btw, I've changed my pen name to GS again, from when I started writing)

Writer's Prayer

Writer's prayer is about how a person who does creative writing wishes his ideas do not slip his mind. It happens to me every now and then, and it has been very frustrating

I choose to start off by introducing the writer's 2 companions, which is the pen and the paper (parchment). The term "Teach me how to write" is to illustrate how sometimes when one encounters writer's block we ponder by rearranging the words or keep on writing and, later, return to that portion to finish that part.

The second and third stanza speaks of a writer's thoughts and his knowledge of wordplay. It is something the writer does not wish to loose and he prays that his hands does not fail to catch his thoughts.

Creator

Creator is written based on how a writer is compared to God as a similar character. The attitude and nature is such that, for God, how it is said that "we are created in His image" as the Bible says; whereas, for a writer, he wants to make a beautiful (better yet, perfect) writing.

Anonymous

Anonymous is a short poem dedicated to those who have created creative writings but yet not have their works recognized and their names known. It is also inspired by the movie "Anonymous" where it talks fictionally about how William Shakespeare came about.

Whoever reading these, hope you enjoy it. Have a nice day.

Theme: Writing

Writer's Prayer

Black ink and parchment,
Entertain me tonight.
Pen and paper,
Teach me how to write.

Thoughts and memory,
Fail me not this time.
Hand and fingers,
Write the words they sight.

Knowledge and wisdom,
Lead me as my guide.
Heart and mind,
Follow them tonight.

- GS

Creator

As God so fearfully creates,
The writer fearfully writes.
As how He patiently mold,
So does he patiently design.

Yet pride he takes not,
And glory he claims not.
For he loves his Creator,
And the creator He inspires.

For the Creator knows
the heart of the creator.
And life will the Creator give
for the worship the creator brings.

- GS

Anonymous

For every quill is an unknown writer,
The parchment his silent friend.
Every word is a stroke of paint,
Each sentence a piece of art.

Theme: Fear

Within the Darkness

The darkness beckons, it calls to you,
With wordless whisper, it summons you.

To dare you to walk on waves of rage,
And to loose yourself in quakes of chaos,
Perhaps the seduction to abuse power,
Or to feast on harvests of blessed men.

The darkness beckons, it calls to you,
But within the whisper, it is lying to you.

- Larry Yap

Faith and Fear

To fear is not to faith,
Or had we forgotten
how it felt to beget faith?
How it feels to fear not?

O, we all know fear,
do we not, brothers?
He is a friend of souls
and a companion of men.

But he is a snake!
A cunning beast that
in every chance, strikes!
And kills our heart and soul!

But faith is not so,
Faith is a gentle creature.
It's hands we do not see,
but ever ready to help.

Yet we harden ourselves
and reject the healing.
His hands reach in vain
as we fall to fear instead.

How it feels to fear not,
how it felt to beget faith?
Have we forgotten
To faith is not to fear?

Theme: Prayer

Everyday

Everyday I reserve a little prayer for a special someone,
Everyday I reserve a little time for a prayer for you,
Everyday I learn that I do not always get what I want,
But God wants me to keep blessing until I am blessed.

- Larry

Grace of God

How do I sing in breathlessness
yet hear sounds of my whispering words?
How is it that my soul is empty
yet was able to give to the thirsty at heart?

By no ways but the grace of God.

How is it can strength be found
by the mortal and frail and shaken feet?
How is it can courage be drawn
by the beggar and lame without help?

By no ways but the grace of God.

How does a man conquer death
and see morrow's dawn fresh and anew?
How does a woman pray and fast
and remain vigilant in her every task?

Aye, by no ways but the grace of God.

Hi All

Hi, everyone, it's Larry here.

I've been keeping track of the number of views on my Blog and I have seen a consistent number of views for each post I write. Thanks for taking your time to read the simple things that are written here, I may not know you, but it's cool.

The motive of me writing these poems are mainly for personal expression. It's how I am able to explore creative writings with my own personality. It's a personal practice, and if there are any comments that you wish to drop off, feel free to do so. It also helps me to know that you guys are real, too. > <

Another reason to write is to show that it does not take very deep English to create poetry. Writing poems are like a hobby, really, and it requires training to develop a certain style of the poetry. If you are reading this right now, I encourage you - try writing a poem. Anything will do, and it does not even need to be in English.

Anyway, it's time to hit the sacs for me. Hope you guys continue to look forward for my works, and help me improve by constructive comments and communication. Thanks guys.

Cheers and good night.

"Tonight, I shall sleep - late."

Theme: Travels

A Traveling Man

Every road not taken is a turn not made
Every turn not made is a place not visited
Every place not visited is a culture not known
Every culture not known is a knowledge not found
Every knowledge not found is a mystery not discovered.

Mr. Hitchhiker

Thumbs up, a car is passing by,
He is going to paradise, so am I.
A shame I do not have a ride,
But I am never ashamed to beg for it.

Heads up, fuel is running out,
Time to pay the gentleman's price!
After all, he did help me out.
The least I can do is to help him, too.

Wake up, my hitchhiker friend,
Here's our stop! Oh wait - it's not?
Oh no, dear hitchhiker friend,
The paradise I know is not as you know!

Cheer up, dear good Samaritan,
We have come a long way now, have we?
Let us enjoy this paradise for now,
Maybe the next one you can join me, too.

- Larry Yap

The Final Destination

One can travel the seven seas
But find no place that he calls home;
And visit the seven wonders
But find no place to rest his soul.

One can see no love nor care
But finds a place to lay his head;
Or finds nothing but despair
But has place for his heart to rest.

One can read and not understand
But achieve greater than most men;
Or be named by fame or wisdom
But achieve nothing known to man.

One can be a man or a woman
But they start at the same location;
Or they can poor or even rich
But change the world with a passion.

Game of Kings

The pawn goes first,
He sets the example,
Or is it that he will be made example of?
He knows not whether his return is promised,
Or is the end of the line in the middle of battle.

The knight stomps forth,
His presence ever known,
A thunder of metal hoofs and plate armor.
He welcomes his foe in battle for a challenge,
While others fear and cower he stands unshaken.

The rook holds ground,
He guards without rest,
Or maybe his oath tolerates no rest?
His hammer is ready and trained to strike,
Like a fortress he defends like one he protects.

The priest stays back,
While all goes to war,
He made himself like a symbol of providence.
Who but he can bestow holy fervor and speech,
And he alone can smite by his spoken words.

The queen looks on,
She sees every move,
Or she watched by eyes of another like her?
She exchanges the freedom of dying pawns,
In return for a victory of one bloody war.

The king commands,
Lord of the battlefield,
His pride is in the sword and the crown.
Will he return home tonight no one knows,
But what joy it will bring if he does return.

When I Come Home

When I come home,
I wish to see my wife and kiss her,
I wish to look at my son and smile,
I wish to hold my daughter and hug her,
I wish to dine with them and laugh.

When I come home,
I will pray for a peaceful living,
I will bless for my son's future,
I will pray for my daughter's days,
I will remember my wife's pain.

When I come home,
May I see hopes and dreams,
May I see breakthrough,
For my hands the Lord blesses,
And from Thy hands I claim.

Piano
With every note, a companion of rhythm,
How can a song ever live without?
A man can walk the stars with the violin,
Explore depth of the oceans with the cello,
But who can express more than the maestro,
Seated before the piano?
His soul pours every wordless expression,
The world cannot feel his emotions,
Only able to savour each melody he plays.
He chooses silence, for a masterpiece written in tears.

Made
I - am not an accident, forced to live on curses of mistakes.
I - am not a looser by birth, only loser by choice.
I - am not born to die, because I intend to live forever.
I - am not set for a goal on earth, but set for a higher call.
I am made, not a byproduct.

The Naughty Trickster

Love is a naughty trickster,
He lets me speak of you amongst my friends,
and ties my tongue when I face your smile.

He is a madman with a sense of humor,
He lets my closest friend laugh at me a fool,
but makes me still blind to my foolishness.

He is a cruel man with mysterious intent,
He hides your imperfection from my sight,
and led me to find comfort in discomfort.

Love is a naughty trickster,
but He always knows best how to lead me,
and I pray that He leads me to you.

Stories in a Jar

Hidden beneath the ground is a jar
full of stories written but untold.
It's value not known if treasure or
is it gold?

Is it a secret or knowledge unknown
a source of strength for the soul?
Maybe it is a message or advise left
by a passing soul.

Hidden beneath the ground is a jar
it 's content intact and whole.
Who may unearth it and open the seal
to read the stories told?

- Larry Yap

Theme: Night

Full Moon at a Candlelight

Hope like a river flow,
For you to love me with all your soul.
It's like asking the sun to shine,
Under full moon's perfect glow.

A taste of wine and stake,
With string quartets playing Morzart.
In candlelight of silent night,
Will you mind if I ask you for a dance?

Time will tell no truth to me,
For you alone my heart's answer hold.
Will you be my love, Elizabeth,
If I ever ask you to hold my soul?

- Larry Yap

Midnight Talks

With you we walked with our hearts
and shared stories of our souls part by part.

It was the beauty of the shooting star
and the time spent laughing at our pasts that last.

We will wish to have more time to spend
and pray that time will slow down just one more sec.

But we know time and tide wait for no man
and still we want this conversation not to end - yet.

Written Like A Song

Your love is like a song, sung into my ears,
And reaches towards my blood,
It grips my beating heart, fills me with fire,
And it reaches for my soul.

Oh sweet melody of old, you never faltered,
And You are always near,
In my soul you made a home, and never left,
And it comforts me so.

The loveliest of poetry, how precious you are,
And more irreplaceable you are,
Is there more I could ask, or even imagine,
Then the seed of love you sow?

Theme: Love

The Man and The Woman

The greatest gift of a man to his woman,
Is his marriage vows unbroken,
The promise of his life for her's,
And the honesty of his soul.

The greatest gift of a woman to her man,
Is the gift of life from her womb,
The warmth of her company,
And her endless love for him.

- Larry Yap

Real Love

A broken heart pours out his love,
Like water gushing from a crack.

His heart wounded and his spirit scarred.

But no one can tear his love away,
Not from the one who broke his heart.

Who says a broken heart cannot love?

For a man who fears the the Lord,
He remembers his wedding vows.

Remember that till death do us part.

He chooses to love with a broken heart,
Even if she chooses to be apart.

- Larry Yap

One Who Loves

One who loves, loves like a man to his wife,
Unconditional and uncomplaining.

One who loves, loves like a father to his son,
Everlasting and uncompromising.

One who loves, loves like a man to his friend,
Ever prepared and unflinching.

One who loves like that, I found no other and nowhere,
Only in heaven, where God is there.

Theme: Future

 Never Loose Heart

Dreams are near to the young and the vigorous at heart.
Visions are fresh to the passionate and ages with time.
Love is fresh when seasoned but stales when left to rot.

-Larry Yap

The Paper Prayer

Lord,

Please prepare my bride,
Like how You prepare Yours.
Prepare my soul,
Like how You prepare for death.

For the day will come,

Where I need a home not a house,
I will die to me and live for her.
My bride will be my home on earth,
She will be my treasure here.

And I will love her with all my life,
Just as I love you.

- Larry Yap

My Child

My child, do not be my past,
Be it good or bad, it is my path,
It is my shadow and reflection,
But take the lessons I kept with it.

My child, do not fight with fools,
For anything at all, it is not worth it,
Only watch as they crumble,
And in all things learn from their fall.

My child, do not be wrathful,
To friend or foe, it is not good,
For your spirit will need peace,
But remember vengeance is the Lord's.

My child, do not forget these words,
Remember them all, for it is worth it,
And when you ever need it,
Remember to search it in your heart.

When God is Silent

When God is silent,
It's when we are stubborn,
When we are arrogant.

When God is silent,
He is taking a step back,
He allows us to contemplate.

When God is silent,
We are usually too busy,
Usually too occupied.

When God is silent,
It's when He knows our sins,
And our secret sins.

When God is silent,
It's when we did not ask,
And we confess not.

Theme: God

Between Me and God

How God never lets go, is how I must not let up.
How He never loose hope, is how I must never loose heart.
How He never give in, is how I must not give up.
How He always have a plan, is how I will play a part.

- Larry

Hold My Heart

Hold my heart, and He guides my soul.
To ways unknown, and wherever He goes.

Hold my heart, for He has known.
The trails ahead, and the pains untold.

Hold my heart, come make me whole,
For You my Shepherd, are my only hope.

- Larry

Our Taken Paths

Adam, have you ever thought
What it is like if you never ate the fruit?
Because the curse of sin it placed on us
I cannot bare on my own.

Noah, have you ever drifted away
And cast God aside for your evil ways?
If you did the world will no longer exist,
Thankfully, you didn't.

Judas, have you ever regretted
Betraying the trust of an innocent man?
But you end up in a hangman's rope
And know nothing at all.

Paul, have you ever thought
How it is like to not be called by God?
I thank God He did what He did
Lest I hear not salvation's song.

Prayer

I pray you well, I pray you dwell
in peace and health, in wealth as well.

I pray you good, I pray you would
in all that stood, to do all good.

I pray you love, I pray you above
all you deserve, to find true love.

I pray you strength, I pray you rest
so even in death, you will find strength.

I pray you peace, I pray at least
if you must leave, all will find peace.

Lastly, I pray you joy, Sam,
that you find the same joy I found in you,
a true friend, whose company I enjoy.

Cheers, Sam. Happy 21st Birthday.

Theme: Feelings

For Awhile Now

For awhile now,

I have felt like this, alive and great,
Like I can anything.
I felt like I can leap, jump across rainbows,
Doing stupid things.

For awhile now,

And after so long, I found beauty,
Where all is lost.
Better than diamond, purer than gold,
It is worth any cost.

For awhile now,

It has been me, staring from afar,
Loving helplessly.
Now I finally see, love has responded,
And it belongs to me.

Unforgiven

You were a chapter of my life,
Something I have never forgotten,
A dream that called me in the night,
That I had dared not fathom.

You were a darkened curse,
A mark that was set upon my life,
Burn wounds and ruined nerves,
Numbing bitterness and pride.

You were a mistake I made,
That I can never make amends,
Even if I learned to live with you,
My feelings you never fail to rend.

You are still with me, even now,
You are my past and bitter life.
Although, I have found my joy now,
The damage remains in my mind.

Theme: Anger

Anger

I am anger, a beast in the cold,
I hide in the blood of your veins,
I lurk within your soul.

I am anger, a grudge that you hold,
The retribution of your enemies,
Should I be free to roam.

I am anger, a work of your own,
A relentless force of strength,
That you have never known.

I am anger, a beast of my own,
Should you need my fury,
Where to find me, you will know.

- Larry

Fury

Fury is swift,
It is an eagle that catches it prey,
While it wonders unaware of it's fate.

Fury is strong,
A force that knows no defense,
A form of chaotic damage.

Fury is madness,
Guided by zeal or foolishness,
Only to be found by regret or death.

- Larry

Painful, Silent Truth

Don't walk towards me, I am not well,
Don't talk to my soul, I am in pain.

Do not even think about trying,
For my beast is hungry for blood.
It thirst for a thrill of violence,
But I must not give it such pleasure.

Give me food for my thoughts,
That wisdom may feed my heart.
Let me drink water for my soul,
So that peace may abound and flow.

Don't walk towards me, but I will be well,
Don't talk to my soul, I will heal on my own.

Existence

Non-existence is a blessing of no one,
It's enjoyment is the pleasure of none.
Like how the flesh a curse of one's being,
Is existence a burden to us unrelenting.

What joy is there in existence of man,
If all souls are to be given to death?
What pleasure can one learn from years,
If regrets in death fills us with fears?

Is this not why one prays for peace,
A reason for living this life on a lease?
If I know my creator and He knows me,
Will my soul live in perpetual harmony?

Maybe existence is a blessing, too,
One that is shared by more than two.
Maybe joy is meant for now and only,
So that all man do not feel so lonely.

That at least in death,
One remembers joy more than pain,
Happiness more than sorrow,
Life more than slumber.

Theme: Alone

Alone In A Quiet Place

Alone in a quiet place, no sound no shadows, only space.
Alone in a quiet place, with brushes and paint, no papers.
Alone in a quiet place, no words no music, only colors.
Alone in a quiet place, a man and a canvas, only art.

-  Larry Yap

Seeing Shadows

My shadow is my friend,
He never leaves me in the day,
And watches me as I sleep.

My shadow is my friend,
He waves at me as I wave,
And says what I say to him.

What lovely friend he is,
He is there for a broke heart,
And for every tear he consoles.

Oh, what friend indeed!
He remembers me all my days,
Shame, he leaves when I pass away.

A Fool

A fool for food finds satisfaction,
A fool for knowledge finds power,
A fool for wisdom finds joy,
A fool for love finds happiness.
A fool left alone finds peace.

What are you a fool of?
