Adam, have you ever thought
What it is like if you never ate the fruit?
Because the curse of sin it placed on us
I cannot bare on my own.

Noah, have you ever drifted away
And cast God aside for your evil ways?
If you did the world will no longer exist,
Thankfully, you didn't.

Judas, have you ever regretted
Betraying the trust of an innocent man?
But you end up in a hangman's rope
And know nothing at all.

Paul, have you ever thought
How it is like to not be called by God?
I thank God He did what He did
Lest I hear not salvation's song.

Prayer

I pray you well, I pray you dwell
in peace and health, in wealth as well.

I pray you good, I pray you would
in all that stood, to do all good.

I pray you love, I pray you above
all you deserve, to find true love.

I pray you strength, I pray you rest
so even in death, you will find strength.

I pray you peace, I pray at least
if you must leave, all will find peace.

Lastly, I pray you joy, Sam,
that you find the same joy I found in you,
a true friend, whose company I enjoy.

Theme: Feelings

For Awhile Now

For awhile now,

I have felt like this, alive and great,
Like I can anything.
I felt like I can leap, jump across rainbows,
Doing stupid things.

For awhile now,

And after so long, I found beauty,
Where all is lost.
Better than diamond, purer than gold,
It is worth any cost.

For awhile now,

It has been me, staring from afar,
Loving helplessly.
Now I finally see, love has responded,
And it belongs to me.

You were a chapter of my life,
Something I have never forgotten,
A dream that called me in the night,
That I had dared not fathom.

You were a darkened curse,
A mark that was set upon my life,
Burn wounds and ruined nerves,
Numbing bitterness and pride.

You were a mistake I made,
That I can never make amends,
Even if I learned to live with you,
My feelings you never fail to rend.

You are still with me, even now,
You are my past and bitter life.
Although, I have found my joy now,
The damage remains in my mind.
